Damn you job interview!

Thank you everyone that wished me luck, you'll be happy to know that I used up all the luck and still failed aha.  I turned up a little early, only like 3 minutes, and the woman that was supposed to interview me wasn't there so I had some guy instead. The interviewer was asking some questions that I hadn't thought about and I just didn't know how to answer them, so I kept asking him what do you mean exactly, do you mean... This is not good. If you look at it in a certain way then it could be good I suppose.. It shows that I'm not afraid to ask if I don't understand? Let's just hope he saw it that way. Even though it's bar work the guy seemed impressed with the part on my cv where I mentioned that I created a customer database for my voluntary work, he's a computer geek so he seemed impressed. Anyways he told me that I have to go in tomorrow for an induction and if that goes well then I'll have shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So i'm not actually sure if I have the job? Confused.

Anyways, I just come across this video and it seems like such a simple idea, and it shwos that even something small can make a difference. Even when they say have a good day it made people smile!
Oh and I have a bank appointment tomorrow, let's hope this bank actually let me open a student account.

  1. Sounds like you're close at least. It's always good having something in common with the interviewer even if it's not directly related to the job. It makes you stand out and if they like you personally you have a better chance than someone more qualified but less personable.

The megaphone idea is neat. Most people don't really feel a connection to people they see on the street.

  5. It's not fair for them to leave a sense of confusion with you. Keep your head up, and make the job yours.

  10. I hope you do get the job!
But before you go back think on what questons he asked that you couldn't answer and think what your answer will be if he asks again! He may do that! Go to the induction ready for anything!
