Job Interview for Oceana Club..

I've been applying for a job for nearly three months now.. since I finished college pretty much. I admit that the first couple of weeks after college I thought there'd be no point in getting a job, but then I found out that I had to pay for rent throughout the summer even if i'm not living at my uni house. Shit. £200 a month and I have no job. So as I was about to give up on searching for a job I receive an email off Oceana saying that they liked my application (cannot remember applying) and would contact me with further details. The next day they phoned me and asked if I still considering taking the job. This got me thinking. I really need the money, like really bad but Oceana is like hell to me. It's a huge ass dance club full of chavs and shit music. The two things I hate most.
This is what I'd have to deal with..
But then I thought that it wouldn't be too bad as I have two friends that are currently working there and if I actually got to work there with them then it'd be a good laugh. So I said yes and then she told me that I have an interview tomorrow.. I told her I had no previous bar work and she said that's fine, which is good but my friends said that they just throw you behind the bar and see how you go, there'll be someone working behind the bar too but they'll often be too busy to help so this got be thinking, shit.

Anyways I have to dress smart/casual for the interview which is going to be hard because I don't own any smart clothes.. I'm pretty damn nervous as this is my first ever job interview, so if you guys have any tips for me please do share? And what is considered smart/casual? And do you think it'd be acceptable to punch one of the annoying chavs in the face?

  1. There is never any reason NOT to punch a chav. So feel free.

Just wear what people going to the club would wear. But better, cooler, and more together!

  4. bar work is always good. even if you end up bussing, you make decent money. its nice, temporary work until you can get on your feet.

also, can you knock a chav out, steal his tracksuit and send it to me? i need it for halloween, thanks!

  5. Sounds intense, but money is money, even if you have to rearrange some chav teeth.

As a wise old man said: Chavs gonna chav.

  7. What is a chav?
And for job interviews its best to do most of the talking, promote your self, talk about what you've done, how you handle situations, and how you always like to be on time.
During the interview you'll probably think "I sound like a dork!"
    Thats a good thing!

  12. Wear a collared t with a pocket protector, some dress pants and thick glasses. When you get there say "Oh, you said smart.. I thought you meant.."

  14. just be cool, keep smiling (but not like a retard) and dress the same way you would dress if you go there for a drink. after you get the job, if you have to punch some idiot its ok, shit happens :P

  15. I'm sure it won't be all bad, a club doesn't mean that they'll all be chavs, there are more social groups in the UK other than just chavs and metalheads :p
