So I quit the job!

After hours of putting it off, I finally phoned work and quit. I was going over the worst possible outcomes in my head and I was just getting super scared.. I don't even know why. I felt as though I was being unreasonable to them, but I had to keep telling myself that Uni is way more important.. So I wrote down a couple of reasons as to why I was leaving and phoned them, the conversation went a little like this:

Random worker in the club - "Hi, this is blah blah blah blah, how may I help?"
Me - "Hi, this is Chris Jones, may I speak to the manager please?"
Random worker - "Okay certainly.."
.....horrible suspense......
Manager - "Hi, how may I help you?"
Me - "Hi, it's Chris Jones, I'm new and I was just phoning to tell you that I don't think I'll be able to keep my job as well as go to Uni"..
....I'd done it, but what has she got to say? ...
Manager - "Oh, okay... So do you want to make it a weekend only thing?"
Me - "I'd like to finish completely please?"
Manager - "Okay..."
Me - "Okay?"
*Hangs up*
*Fist pump*

So yeah after that phone call I felt like a weight had been lifted.. It may sound stupid to some of you but I was worrying about that phone call all night, it was horrible..

Tonight I am going to watch The Wombats, for those for you that haven't heard of them, here's a song.

Have a nice day all.

  1. Good for you, I think she handled it kind of okay, at first trying to hit a compromise, just putting the phone down was kinda a dick move, but at least she didn't try to convince you to stay. Well done for being able to do it too.

  4. Hahaha, fitting song for your day. Good job on mustering the courage and actually doing something about it, which not many people do about their problems..
