Battlefield 3 to be game of the year

I've seen very little of the game play so far but that was enough to make me come to the decision. From the game play that I've seen you can tell that the new game engine Frostbite 2 is going to make the game as realistic as possible. The new game engine takes destructibility, lighting and animation to the next level.Take a look at the trailer for yourself and lemme know what you think.
Do you think this game has the ability to scrape everyone away from the repetitive call of duty franchise?

  3. Don't get me wrong, I love Call of Duty. I've been loyal to the series ever since I got 4, but I'll definitely be picking this up as well. I you're aware of Pain Killer Already, a gaming podcast, one of the presenters was playing the alpha on the most recent, and it sounds great.

  5. No, but it will hopefully pull me away from it. I'm getting both MW3 and Battlefield 3 this fall, we'll see which gets more playtime

  6. Sweet lovin' Dobbs, that looks sexy! I can't wait to try it out. As soon as I get the gear required to actually play a game of that magnitude.

  7. I don't think I'll be buying this. It just looks like every other Battlefield/Call of Duty game made with improved graphics and a few added features.

  8. In addition to MW3, I think I'll check this out too.

  9. If a better game could take people away from Cawwadooty, then those players wouldn't have been playing Cawwadooty all this time while there were better FPS's out there.

  10. I don't see this really impacting the addiction to the call of duty franchise out there. Its a really great looking game, but its nothing we haven't seen before.

  17. Looks like a good game. I'm a little tired of military games, to be honest, but I'll give these guys a chance, at least.

  21. Im sure BF3 will be a solid game. Thats a fact. But EA and their Origin app can sure as heck mess it up. Expect the horror storys when this game gets released.

  27. Definitely think it has major potential. Call of duty serves as a lightening rod though for annoying people, hackers, etc. I'm hoping Modern Warfare will still maintain its fanbase and Battlefield keeps its own base of hardcore players. Bad Company 2 is deadly, if they've managed to keep that charm and improve upon it in anyway this game should be great.
