Laptop problems.

I haven't made a post today because I've been busy sorting my uni house out and I had an appointment with NatWest to open up a student account. There was a few problems with my room in uni but that's all sorted now which is good. I have an application form for the bank but I haven't got the documents in my house to finish the opening of the account. I worked it out that i'll have to start my account with a £500 overdraft, not too happy about this but my rent needs to be paid on the first and my loans don't come through until the end of September. Bummer.

The main reason I haven't posted anything until now is that my laptop is dying.. I've only had it since Christmas. I'm currently using safe mode atm and it's working fine. When I try and use it normally it will start up (sometimes) then I can be using it for upto five minutes and it'll crash. The cursor with at first start lagging and then it will just stop, and nothing happens. I have no idea how to fix this, I've tried restoring my laptop but no luck. So if any of you guys have any idea what could be wrong with my laptop i'd greatly appreciate it if you left a comment.

  3. it could be overheating, hard drive dying, or memory is bad.

you could try putting a big fan blowing on it to see if it's overheating

you can fix a dying hard drive (temporarily) with spinrite

you can check if your memory is bad with memtest86

  5. You've done the system restore, and the computer still crashes? Sounds like it could be a hardware issue; possibly your fan?

  6. Issue with the fan would be my guess too.
