Video's from Newton Faulkner Gig

Okay so I said yesterday that I'd upload the videos of Newton if they were good enough quality. I know they're not good quality but I uploaded them anyways for my sake. So that if my laptop dies they'll be online. And the video's will be good enough to anyone that went to the gig. I'll post a video here and if you can bare teh bad quality then feel free to check out my youtube page for more.

I'm pretty gutted the video quality didn't turn out too good but I wasn't expected brilliant quality because I have a shit phone. Anyways yeah.. check out the video or whatever.

Newton Faulkner gig!

So as I promised I'm going to put some photos up of Newton Faulkner at the gig. Well I'm pretty much going to upload photos from the day. Some of the videos are good enough quality to upload so I'll do that later/tomorrow. Just watching the videos back gives me the chills, soo amazing.

So these are ofc my tickets to see God. They worked as I got to see God.

Straight after the gig I made this the wallpaper on my phone and when i got to meet Newton (AAAAAAAH).. I showed him and he was all oh wow, that's a pretty awesome photo. So yeah Newton's seen my phone.. AH YEAH. But now my wallpaper is a picture of me and him. And it's never going to change.

Newton Faulkner was EPIC.

So I just got back from the gig! I got there three hours early and went for food and then went to the back of the venue where we saw Newton's bus and we could hear him practicing for the gig (AWESOME). I then started to queue 2 hours early so I'd be right up the front. When the doors opened me and my friend rushed to the front, we were literally right up the front in the middle, we were about 3 foot away from the stage. The support act was a local boy who was pretty awesome and then Newton come on and blew my mind. I recorded most of it on my phone (terrible quality) and took a few pictures. So after the amaaaaaaaaazziiing gig me and my friend waited around out the back by his bus so we could hopefully meet him. We didn't mind how long it'd take to see him because we had no means of transport to get home, we were planning on staying up and catching a bus back early. After about half hour someone came up to us and asked if we were waiting for him to sign something.. We got super exicted and give them our tickets and told them our names. In my head I was thinking omg he's going to bring them out but though naah he'll be busy. After about five minutes.. NEWTON FAULKNER COMES OUT WITH OUR TICKETS!!! AAAAAAH. He comes up to us and says our names and gives us our tickets. Me and my friend stunned we didn't know what to say so we just touched his dreads. We then talked to him about the show and how awesome he is and how much we love him and then I asked for a photo. He said no problems so I put my arm around him and he did the same and before the photo was taken someone pointed out there's no light on us so we walked like 10 foot with our arms around each other... LOVE. Then I got my photo taken and he said he has to go because he's got another gig tomorrow and his pizza's getting cold so I shook his hand and told him I loved him again before I touched his dreads and left. He said I love you too! AAAAH. Also he said he recognized me and my friend from in the crowd.. He kept looking at us throughout the gig because we were right at the front. I then screamed like a girl and just had to ring someone, so I phoned my friend that was with me and we both screamed. Then I phoned my brother and sent him the photo of me and Newton so if anything happened to me it'd be safe xD And that my friends is the story of the best day of my life! I'll upload the photos and some videos(depending on quality) tomorrow! I'm now going to go to sleep as i'm ballsed. Night!
p.s. I'm never washing again.

I just received some bad news..

I just found out that my University house got broken into.. They smashed the big bay window downstairs, smashed up our living room and other rooms. They stole two tv's a pc, a monitor, stereo, dvd's, cd's and other stuff. Luckily my room wasn't broken into but I still feel like crap now. My house is literally a minute away from the police station! I wont be able to go back down there until late Saturday either. I suppose I should just be greatful that my room wasn't touched. Newton tomorrow to take my mind off it. I'm going to try and get him to sign my leg so I can get his signature tattooed on me along with the album artwork. I've been tweeting him but no reply ;[ Damat why am I not famous.

Laptop update

My laptop turned on straight away today which was totally unexpected. It seems to be working fine (minus the slowness every now and then). I tried to restore it last night and it failed, so I've been deleting a lot of unwanted/unused programs/files just to try and see if it was software related. I read in the comments that people think I should get a laptop cooler fan. My laptop has been getting really hot recently so I'm going to do this. I've been looking on ebay for them and they're reasonably cheap, I was wondering if any of you have a laptop cooling tray that you'd recommend? I'll buy one asap.

In other news.. I'm going to see Newton Faulkner tomorrow! So excited! I still don't know how I'm getting to/from the venue which is a little worrying. The gig don't start until 7.30 but i'm going to try and be there for 3ish. I want to try and meet him xD.

So let's just hope this cooling fan thing works and my laptop lives happily ever after.. That and I get to meet Newton. AAAAAAAH.

Underrated acoustic musicians

If you're like me and you're fed up of hearing the same old auto-tuned crap on the radio and dominating the charts then you should enjoy something a little different. I'm going to talk about a couple of my favourite underrated musicians.

Charlie Simpson
Charlie was the lead singer of the band Busted, you might have heard of them their song 'Year 3000' or 'That's what I go to school for'. Busted broke up because Charlie wanted to pursue a career in rock music. He then joined a band called Fightstar, although these are my favourite band I'm not going to talk about these, they announced the band's going on hiatus for 2010-2011 for Charlie to do some solo stuff. Charlie's first official album is out on the 15th of August! Here's a video of his newest single off the new album.

Graham Stookey

Graham is an 18 year old guy that started a youtube channel in hope that someone would like his stuff and he'd get a record deal. He recently released an EP with four songs on it, these four songs are not on his youtube channel. The one song is a cover of  'Jonah', this is the song that really drew the majority of his viewers to his channel. Here's the video;
